<p>Construction Administration include overseeing the electrical, mechanical and bridge machinery construction of the project. Responsibilities include review and response to RFI’s, shop drawing reviews, cost estimate reviews, change order reviews, design modifications, conflict solving and installation oversight, all with the goal of minimizing the change order costs and keeping the project on schedule.</p>

<p>Two new fuel transmission mains from a point starting on the northwest side of the proposed Central Deicing Facility, south along the western edge of the Deicing Facility and then east to the existing 20&#8243; lines near Concourse G. Prior to the 20&#8243; tie-ins, enabling work is needed to switch the feed of the Cargo Vault to feed off the existing 20&#8243; mains as well as modify controls at super satellite and the East and West pump pad facility.</p>

<p>The overall scope of this project was the installation of a new 345kV System 1 relay panel and a new 345kV System 2 relay panel. System 1 was a Phase Comparison relay package (REL352 and backup SEL-321). The System 1 communication interface utilized Power Line Carrier on a single phase with a Pulsar TCF-10B Transceiver used for Phase Comparison and a second Pulsar TCF-10B used for Direct Transfer Trip. System <em>Electrical Design Support</em></p>
<p>2 was a Directional Comparison Unblocking relay package (SEL-321). The System 2 communication interface utilized Power Line Carrier on another single phase with a Pulsar TCF-10B Transceiver used for Directional Comparison and a second Pulsar TCF-10B used for Direct Transfer Trip. The upgrades incorporated the new Digital Microwave Ring.</p>
<p>Facet engineering personnel provided electrical design services in support of this ComEd / Exelon&#8217;s Project. The scope included (2) 345kV line relay upgrades. The upgrade consisted of the replacement/installation of (4) relay panels. The schemes will employ Line Current Differential, Directional Under Reaching Transfer Trip, and Directional Comparison Blocking. New and revised schematic and wiring drawings for the (4) relay panels and the associated equipment drawings (i.e. 345kV breakers, disconnect switches, related relay panels) were provided including panel elevations (with BOM) and schematic diagrams.</p>
